Hong Kong Arts Center, Wan Chai|Comix Pulse – Emerging Voices of Comics 101 and Illustration & IP 101: Student Participants Works Exhibition
Description
Exhibition Introduction
As the fourth exhibition of Comix Pulse, The Emerging Voices of Comics 101 and Illustration & IP 101: Participants Works Exhibition brings together works from participants of Hong Kong Arts Centre Short Course ‘Comics 101’ and ‘Illustration & IP 101’. The two courses were curated by Comix Home Base. They were led by renowned creators Little Cloud and Isatisse and took place in Fall 2025. The aspiring comics creators and illustration enthusiasts have come together to present their works developed under the guidance of tutors from the short courses. They have completed marvellous pictorial work from sketch, and now ready to share their fruit of creativity to the public for the first time.
The exhibited works are diverse in theme, reflecting each participants’ unique point of view. Spanning from everyday office life to elders’ oral histories, to original characters and worlds. Amidst all these works, many pieces are even participants’ first completed comics creation.
Comix Pulse offers not only a platform for emerging talent, but also an entry point for audiences to encounter a whole new generation of visual storytellers, and to glimpse the possibilities their future work may hold.
